About Me

Mark Warrick
amateur photographer
railway modeller
train travel blogger

I have been building model railways for about sixty years, since I was about six years old. There was a bit of a gap in my following of the hobby in my fifties when my life was so full of work and family, but grown-up children and then retirement have given me a bit more time (although not as much as I imagined!) and I have embarked on a new adventure. The layout I am now building, and describe here, is in HOm gauge (3.5mm to the foot, 12mm track gauge), is Swiss and has overhead electrification, and I have never done any of these things before. Read my weblog on this site to follow the story of this imaginary Alpine village in the heart of the Engadin ski resort region …

If you would like to see my rail travel weblog, which obviously includes a few trips to Switzerland, please browse to www.mwtrips.co.uk.
